A ceramic coating, or nano-ceramic, is a liquid polymer protection system applied over the paint. A chemical reaction cures it into a hard, transparent layer many times more durable than traditional wax.
Where wax lasts 1–3 months and a sealant 3–12 months, a ceramic coating works for 2–5 years without reapplication. Its hardness rating reaches 9H, making it the most durable protection commercially available.
One thing is worth being clear about: a coating does not hide defects, it preserves them. If the paint has scratches and oxidation, the coating seals them under itself for years. That is why our service always includes a full preparation polish — without it, applying a coating is money wasted.

Sunlight is one of paint's biggest enemies. Unprotected, colour gradually loses depth and goes flat. A coating blocks UV, preventing oxidation and fading.

A coating demands thorough preparation, so the process takes 1–2 days.
A thorough two-stage wash, wheel cleaning and chemical removal of tar and iron fallout.
Mechanical decontamination with a clay bar removes the embedded contaminants that shampoo cannot shift.
Paint correction: we remove scratches, swirl marks and oxidation to leave a smooth surface for the coating.
An isopropyl alcohol solution strips residual oils, silicone and polishing compound so the coating can bond chemically with the clear coat.
The coating goes on panel by panel with a dedicated applicator. Each panel is checked under LED light so no high spots are left behind.
The coating cures for 24–48 hours under controlled conditions. We then carry out a final inspection and hand the car back.

No — a coating is not scratch-proof. It significantly improves resistance to fine everyday marks such as wash-induced swirls and dust abrasion, but deep scratches from stones still go through it. For stone-chip protection, paint protection film (PPF) is the right product.
One to two days, depending on how much preparation is needed. After application the car should not be washed for at least 7 days while the coating finishes curing. In the first month, avoid automatic tunnel washes.
If you plan to keep the car longer than 2–3 years and care how it looks, yes. It gives 2–5 years of protection, reduces how often you need to wash, and helps hold resale value. Compared with waxing every three months, a coating works out cheaper over time.
Yes. Although a coating is self-cleaning, it still needs regular washing with pH-neutral shampoo and no aggressive chemicals. Once a year we can inspect it and, if needed, apply a maintenance top coat.
Yes, with one condition: the paint has to be prepared. If the paint is heavily oxidised or already thin, we measure it before starting and tell you honestly how much correction is safe. Sometimes the better answer is a gentler polish with the coating over the top, rather than maximum correction.
